![]() ![]() ![]() The results of the analysis of student responses to constructivism approach learning assisted by animated videos show that the overall average is in the very good category. ![]() From the statistical significance of the t-test is 0.00 less than 0.05. ![]() In accordance with the test criteria, the value in the sig column < 0.05 then is rejected. The data was collected by giving a pretest-posttest and the data were analyzed using the t-test and obtained a result of 0.00. The experimental class students were taught using a constructivism approach assisted by animated videos, while the control class was taught using a scientific approach. The population in this study were all students of class VII consisting of 10 classes and the sample used was class VII-5 as the experimental class as many as 25 students and class VII-6 as the control class as many as 26 students. The approach used in this research is a quantitative research approach with a quasi-experimental type of approach. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in mathematical reasoning abilities of junior high school students using a constructivism approach assisted by animated videos on the comparison material of class VII MTsS Jabal Nur. The research result showed that after student followed the learning process with guided inquiry learning method, high-class students can build the entire indicator of mathematic critical thinking ability correctly and completely, middle-class students can built the entire indicator of mathematic critical thinking ability correctly but there were little problems at the indicator 1, 2, 3 and 4, whereas low-class students can build the entire indicator of mathematic critical thinking ability correctly but there were little problems at the indicator 2 and 3. Mathematic critical thinking ability was measured based on Ennis’ indicator. The written data was obtained from the test, and the oral data was obtained from the interview. The collected data was in the form of written and oral. The research subject was six students of class VIII B SMP Negeri 1 Sentolo, that consist of two students of high class, two students of the middle class, and two students of low class. This kind of research is qualitative research. The research aims to know student’s mathematics critical thinking ability at the inquiry learning process of P flat side geometry of cube and cuboid class VIII B SMP Negeri 1 Sentolo. Reasoning skills of mathematics students grouping results can be used by various interested institutions to evaluate the test using in mathematics instruction. This research classifies the reasoning skills of mathematics students into two categories, imitative reasoning, and creative reasoning. Result of research shows that student mathematical reasoning can be measured using the instrument test developed from the routine task and non-routine task. The data analyzed through studying the students’ task solving, the transcripts of their work, interview after the test, identifying the specific task solving situations, and the arguments were supporting the strategy choice and strategy implementation. The field testing involves students of senior high school (SMA Negeri 1) and students of University of Papua, Manokwari West Papua Indonesia. Development of the instrument and measurement of mathematical reasoning skills using procedure: items preparation (modification task), expert validation, field testing, and data analysis. The study used research and development method. The purpose of this research was to measure the reasoning skills of mathematics students using a test instrument developed from mathematics routine and non-routine task. ![]()
